Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
The short version: be 13 or older, keep your account safe, own what you make, don't cheat with it, and know the AI can be wrong. Details below.
1. What Chad × Stacy is
Chad × Stacy is a study app made by Wanadel ("we", "us"). It gives you AI study help, flashcards with spaced repetition, practice exams, study groups, a planner, and focus tools — on iPhone and at wanadel.com. By creating an account or using it, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. [Entity form — to be confirmed by Ben before launch]
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, get a parent or guardian's permission first.
3. Your account
Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else got in, tell us at support@wanadel.com. Give us accurate info and keep it current.
4. Free + Pro
Chad × Stacy is free to start, with usage limits. Pro raises those limits. Right now, Pro is billed through the Apple App Store on iOS — manage or cancel it in your Apple subscription settings, under Apple's billing terms. The website doesn't sell subscriptions.
The limits on the free plan may change as the product evolves. If we change what Pro costs, Apple's rules require you to see and approve the new price before it applies.
5. Your content
What you make is yours. Your cards, notes, guides, and uploads stay your property. You give us permission (a license) to host, store, process, and display that content so the product can work — syncing it to your devices, showing it to your study group, sending it to the AI when you ask.
If you publish a set to the public Discover catalog, you also give us permission to show it publicly. Publishing is always opt-in, you acknowledge exactly what gets shown first, and you can unpublish anytime. You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload.
6. AI features
The AI can be wrong. It can misexplain things, get calculations wrong, or make things up. Check AI answers against your course materials before you rely on them for a grade. Nothing the AI says is professional advice — not legal, not medical, not academic.
7. Academic integrity
Chad × Stacy is a tool for learning — understanding, practicing, and remembering. It is not a tool for doing your work for you. You're responsible for following your school's academic-integrity rules. Our Honor Code is part of these terms and says where the line is.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use Chad × Stacy to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm anyone — in groups, shared sets, or anywhere else.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or data from the service.
- Upload live exam content or other material your school or exam provider prohibits sharing.
- Break, overload, probe, or try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours.
9. Our content and IP
The app itself — the software, design, mascots, and branding — belongs to Wanadel. These terms let you use it personally; they don't transfer any ownership to you.
10. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content on Chad × Stacy infringes your copyright, email support@wanadel.com with: what work was infringed, where the infringing content is, your contact info, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you're the owner or authorized to act for them. We'll take down content that infringes and may close repeat infringers' accounts.
11. Termination
You can stop using Chad × Stacy and delete your account anytime in Settings — deletion is immediate. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk, and we can remove content that does the same.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or right.
13. Liability cap
To the maximum extent the law allows, Wanadel isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost grades, lost data, or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some places don't allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE — to be confirmed], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Open lawyer question — this draft deliberately has no arbitration clause; whether to add one (and a class-action waiver) is a decision for counsel, not a template. Before filing any claim, email support@wanadel.com — most problems get fixed fast and informally.
15. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll update the date at the top, and for changes that matter we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
